Business Review

My family LOVES fall and Halloween, and this year we kicked off our favorite season with a trip to Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom! 🎃

We got to the park early enough to catch a show, ride some rides, and squeeze in a little trick-or-treating. Of course, we couldn't resist all the pumpkin treats tempting us around the park either!

But the part I was most excited about was seeing all those pumpkins lit up after dark.

As the sun started going down, the whole park took on a different feel. We walked past the Ferris wheel with its eerie glow and headed into the winding trail of 6,000 pumpkins.

And WOW! I knew there would be a lot of pumpkins, but I wasn't expecting all the different designs. Some were spooky, some were silly, and some were so impressive we had to stop and figure out how they made them!

The kids had a blast picking out their favorites. Our youngest was thrilled to find Bluey and would've been perfectly happy to stand there admiring her all night. My twins loved all the animal pumpkins, and I couldn't decide whether Jimothy or the giant glowing dragon was my favorite.

I'm glad we went early and had time to enjoy the rides and other activities before it got dark. It made for a really fun evening, and walking through the glowing pumpkins was the perfect way to start our spooky season.

If your family loves Halloween as much as ours does, I think you'll really enjoy Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom. It's a fun mix of a day at the amusement park and a little Halloween magic.

You can visit Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom on select dates October 1–November 1, 2026.
